These days, when the afternoon sunlight turns off, all the lights begin to shine brilliantly at Tan An Parish, My Tho Cross Parish Association; Binh Quan Parish; Tan An Protestant Sub-Association, and so on. Flags, stars, stone caves, gift boxes, pine trees, reindeer sleigh, led lights, and so on make the atmosphere of the holiday season more sparkling.

Catholic people not only decorate their houses beautifully but also spend time helping to decorate the church to celebrate the peaceful Christmas season no matter how busy they are.

Mr. Dang Van Duc, a resident of Ward 1, shared that it was an important occasion for Catholics to welcome Chrismas. When December comes, parishioners begin to bustle for Chrismas preparation. They clean their houses, make stone caves and decorate lamps and flags on the street. On Christmas Eve, after going to church, people have tea, eat cakes and talk together. Our life develops, everyone aims to strive more towards a better and less hard-working life.

“Every year, I go to Tan An Parish to help with some tasks about a month before Christmas. This year, our group with more than 10 people helps the church decorate to make it more sparkling. Particularly, I was in charge of pruning pine trees, attaching LED lights, etc. Everything was carefully and meticulously prepared for Christmas and a happy new year, ”Mr. Duc said.
