Deputy Minister of Education and Training - Nguyen Van Phuc supervises marking sites of National High School Exam in Long An

On July 01, Deputy Minister of Education and Training - Nguyen Van Phuc supervised the marking sites of National High School Exam in the Mekong Delta province of Long An.

The National High School Examination Council in Long An reported to the delegation about the preservation of the test papers and the organization of the exam marking process.

The Marking team works in accordance with regulations. The delivery and receipt of the test papers must be signed for confirmation and is recorded through a check book. There is a mutual cooperation between Long An Department of Education and Training and Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University on the marking operation, said the Director of Department of Education and Training - Nguyen Thanh Tiep.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Training supervises functional rooms

In the National High School Exam 2019, Long An has 52,481 test papers. These include tests on subjects such as Literature (13,188), Mathematics (13,294), Natural Science (7,517), Social Science (6,289), English (12,197), Chinese (2) and Japanese (4).

The National High School Examination Council in Long An established the Marking team (essays and multiple choices). To be more particular, Long An Department of Education and Training and Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University organizes the marking process with 138 examiners (126 examiners for essays and 12 ones for multiple choices).

All rooms are equipped with surveillance cameras

Each essay paper is independently evaluated by 2 examiners. After that, they will discuss and agree on the score. If the score is not agreed, the test will be marked for the third time.

The multiple-choice test consists of 5 marking steps: Identifying the test paper, scanning answer sheets, recognizing scanned image; correcting errors , and marking through multiple choice test software.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training - Nguyen Van Phuc asked the National High School Exam Council to clearly inform of the working regulations for the Marking team. All steps of the marking process are important, so the examiners must carefully implement to avoid mistakes. If there are difficulties, they must immediately report to the National High School Examination Council for timely resolution.

Last but not least, the team must not disclose the score of any candidate before it is officially announced./.
