Long An and Ho Chi Minh City coordinate to invest in 7 transportation routes with especially important sites

According to Deputy Director of Long An Transport Department - Nguyen Hoai Trung, Long An and Ho Chi Minh City will coordinate to invest in 7 routes with especially important sites to connect traffic, serve the travel needs, deliver goods trading, ensure traffic safety and promote socio-economic development of the two localities.

In particular, expanding and upgrading to connect 4 existing roads including Nguyen Van Bua Street (Hoc Mon district, Ho Chi Minh City) – Provincial Road (PR) 824 (Duc Hoa district, Long An province), with total estimated investment capital about 2,800 billion VND; National Highway (NH) 50 running through Binh Chanh and Can Giuoc district; Le Van Luong street (Nha Be district) – PR 826C (Can Giuoc district), with estimated investment of nearly 1,000 billion VND; Long Hau road (Nha Be district) – PR 826E (Can Giuoc district), with estimated investment capital nearly 5,100 billion VND.

For the planned connection, to invest in parallel roads of National Highway 50 (Binh Chanh district) and dynamic axis road (Can Giuoc district), with an estimated capital of 4,300 billion VND.

There is no connection to Long An's side yet, opening a new route to the Northwest, with expected estimated capital of 6,400 billion VND. The connection has not planned to Ho Chi Minh City, Vo Van Kiet Street extended - the roads connecting PR 822, 823, 823B, 825 (Duc Hoa district, Long An), with expected estimated capital of 3,300 billion VND.

Deputy Director of Long An Transport Department - Nguyen Hoai Trung informed that these are the routes that play an important role, and are prioritized for investment cooperation under the socio-economic development cooperation agreement program between the two localities in the coming time, it has great significance, promotes Long An and Ho Chi Minh City development in all aspects when it is completed. Currently, leaders of the two localities agreed to assign the two Departments of Transport to coordinate and soon plan to advise on solutions to implement.

On the side of Long An province, the Department of Transport urgently inspects, reviews, surveys, proposes and advises the Provincial People's Committee on measures and solutions to effectively implement the proposed plan./.
