Long An connects to consume agricultural products at Dau Giay wholesale market

On May 10, Long An and Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade held a meeting to connect goods consumption of the two provinces with Dau Giay wholesale market (Thong Nhat district, Dong Nai province) with the participation of about 20 enterprises in Long An province and some small traders in Dau Giay market.

According to Director of Long An Department of Industry and Trade - Le Minh Duc, the province is planning the concentrated agricultural production areas so the annual output is very large. The major agricultural products of the province are rice, dragon fruit, seedless lemon, pineapple, yam, leafy vegetables of all kinds. However, cooperatives and enterprises have not yet consumed all of their production.

He hoped that the enterprises and cooperatives in Long An province and small traders in Dau Giay market could sign 2-way consumption of agricultural products. In particular, Long An can consume agricultural products, small traders in Dau Giay market have more quality products to distribute to markets of the Southern provinces.

Long An delegation also introduced some major products of the province such as rice, leafy vegetables, Go Den wine and dragon wine. Accordingly, the parties directly discussed to sign a memorandum between the Management board of Dau Giay market and enterprises, cooperatives in Long An province. After this meeting, the two sides continued to discuss further to supply agricultural products.

Dau Giay market is located in Thong Nhat district, Dong Nai province, operating from the end of June 2017. This is the largest wholesale market for agricultural products in Dong Nai province.

The market has a scale of 55 hectares. The first phase has been completed and put into use with an area of 2 hectares. There are over 200 operating stalls with an average consumption of 250 - 300 tons of goods per day and night. The remaining area is being implemented.

The representative of Dau Giay market Management board said that agricultural products as well as other products meet food safety standards and clear origin are the top criteria to be consumed at the market./.
