Long An exchanged experiences with Korean experts and investors

On September 6, Long An Provincial People's Committee, Institute of Organic Agriculture Economics held a seminar to exchange experiences with Korean experts and investors towards the development of smart agricultural-industrial urban areas.

According to the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Pham Van Ranh, in the process of socio-economic development, Long An needed models and motivation for the new period to match the current trend of international integration. The provincial leaders were very pleased to be consulted, instructed and attracted by the Institute of Organic Agricultural Economics, South Korea experts and investors. This seminar brought many good prospects for efforts to find new development models of the province.

Mr. Pham Van Ranh hoped that this seminar would help provincial and district leaders to better understand the development of smart agricultural-industrial urban areas to lead smoothly and synchronously from the province to the district, grasp the proposed projects and create the most favorable conditions for investors.

Acting Director of Department of Construction - Nguyen Minh Hung informed about the status and orientation of development planning in the north of Ben Luc district, Long An province.

Accordingly, the planning area would consist of all 6 communes in the North of Ben Luc district including Luong Hoa, Tan Hoa, Luong Binh, Binh Duc, Thanh Hoa, Thanh Loi and a part of the northern area of 2 communes Tan Buu and An Thanh. The total planned area would be about 18,981 hectares.

Besides, the North of Ben Luc district would become an area to develop industrial parks and clusters towards the high-tech industry, supporting industries and other industries. At the same time, this area would develop other services such as training, high-quality health, culture, sports, commerce, ecotourism, entertainment - resorts; develop urban and residential areas associated with concentrated industrial zones and clusters with modern and synchronous technical and social infrastructure; develop clean agriculture and urban agriculture. In particular, this area will have an important position in national security and defense.

Investors proposed to invest in an intelligent agriculture-industrial project on an area of 10,000 hectares. Accordingly, they proposed the technology applied to the model of Smart Agricultural - Industrial Project in Long An and financial investment solution for the development of smart cities.

In addition, the participants also discussed solutions as well as the most feasible and effective development area.

Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Tran Van Can said that investors' opinions in proposing the development of smart agricultural - industrial urban areas were very good prospects for the authorities and investors to strive together. The provincial leaders hoped it would be a new typical model of the province.

To achieve this target, the provincial People's Committee hoped that there would be close cooperation of investors and local authorities with specific commitment process. The provincial authorities would focus on reviewing and carrying out the planning, submitting to the competent authorities for approval as soon as possible. Based on the approved plan, the province would select investors to implement.

Mr.Tran Van Can asked departments, branches of the province and the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to have a clear process, stick to the plan, actively survey, plan, bid, set up land and property on the land price list for site clearance. The provincial People's Committee expected investors to be very devoted to the projects to complete them as soon as possible./.
