Management, exploitation of monuments created conditions for investors to participate

At the 15th session, IXth Long An People's Council Session, delegates of the provincial People's Council asked questions related to investment in construction, repair, upgrade, management and exploitation of revolutionary historical cultural sites in the province. According to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Tran Van Can, Long An has 111 historical-cultural relics and 3 historical cultural works, including 21 national monuments and 90 provincial relics. In order to overcome the situation of the historical-cultural relics that have been decentralized to the district People's Committee are degraded or not yet invested in construction, the provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism to preside and coordinate with Department of Finance to review the mechanism of decentralizing fund for maintenance and management of monuments annually in accordance with the management decentralization for reporting and proposing to the Provincial People's Committee.

The provincial People's Committee assigns the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to review and inspect the relic works decentralized management. For seriously degraded constructions that urgently need to maintain, repair, adjust and supplement the medium-term public investment plan for period 2016-2020 according to the Investment Law and submit it to competent authorities for approval.

Regarding the fund for repairing and maintenance of relics annually, the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities are requested to balance and arrange in the annual district budget estimates assigned and mobilize socialization.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with the Department of Planning and Investment and other departments and branches to advise and propose the provincial People's Committee to remove difficulties and obstacles and promote socialization work, calling for investment in monuments in order to create conditions for investors to participate in the management and exploitation of monuments, attract more social resources, and serve the conservation and restoration to create and promote the effects of the monument./.
