The conference deployed some content of community testing, testing at the F1 isolation area and F0 treatment area in the province.

At the conference, Deputy Director of the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City - Dr. Hoang Quoc Cuong said that the tracing work in Long An is currently going in the right direction, but it has not yet cleared the red zone (focusing on districts of Can Giuoc, Ben Luc and Duc Hoa) because the force was still scattered. Therefore, he suggested that the whole political system should be involved in the task, focusing on cleaning the red zone so that it can soon turn into a yellow and green zone. This work requires determination of local authorities from district to commune. Districts must have detailed plans to attack in time the high-risk areas.

In the treatment work, it is necessary to do a good job in screening and stratification from the very beginning. In particular, the province needs to review and correct infection control at hospitals treating Covid-19; plans to purchase N95 face masks, standard protective clothing to avoid the risk of infection for medical staff.

On the other hand, the province also needs to focus on reviewing the scenarios, in the spirit of being prepared for options when overloaded in terms of personnel, treatment facilities, isolation, etc.

Dr. Hoang Quoc Cuong assesses the epidemic situation and proposed plans to make the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic in Long An more effective in the near future

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee – Pham Tan Hoa requested localities to urgently set up a steering group to organize testing and vaccination team; close the local reporting time at 14 o'clock and report back to the province at 16 o'clock every day. Localities need to have specific plans on community screening, the number of PCR tests and rapid tests; plan to vaccinate the next day, etc. In addition, the health sector is required to have the results of sampling and return samples of each locality at 6 p.m. daily. Local leaders quickly update test results, ensuring treatment facilities receive timely information.

Mr. Pham Tan Hoa also emphasized that there must be a focus on classifying the severity of the disease from the very beginning in order to treat patients according to the right level, ensuring treatment effectiveness; they must paid special attention to the treatment for pregnant women. Localities must put them into use immediately, not to waste when they receive medical supplies and equipment./.
