Long An Provincial People's Committee approves contents to submit to the Provincial People's Council at the 15th session in 2019

On June 10, Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Tran Van Can chaired the meeting to approve 16 contents to submit to the Provincial People's Council at the 15th meeting - the mid-2019 meeting.

Members of the provincial People's Committee; Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province; Provincial Farmers' Association; Divisions under the provincial People's Council; leader of the Office of the Delegation of the National Assembly, People's Council and People's Committee; leaders of some departments, branches and agencies in the province attended the meeting.

At the meeting, leaders of Department of Planning and Investment reports 3 contents: Draft report on socio-economic development in the first 6 months and direction of tasks in the last 6 months of 2019; Draft report on the progress of basic construction investment in the first 6 months of 2019 and the direction, tasks of the last 6 months of 2019; and the draft proposal proposes to issue a Resolution on specific policies to encourage enterprises to invest in agriculture and rural areas using local budget capital in the province.

According to the draft report on socio-economic development in the first 6 months of 2019, agricultural production continues to be closely directed. The province's breakthrough program on high-tech agricultural development in association with restructuring agriculture continues to be strengthened, with a focus on monitoring and urging replication of pilot models on 3 plants and 1 animal in associated with strengthening guidance, transferring production techniques and achieving efficiency. In the field of developing industry - construction and trade – services, the growth continues to be stable.

Especially, the first 6 months of 2019, the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in the province reached 9.89 percent. In which, group I (agriculture, forestry and fishery) increased by 2.17 percent (the same period in 2018 increased by 4.82 percent); group II (industry and construction) increased by 14.65 percent (the same period in 2018 increased by 15.11 percent) percent; and group III (trade and services) increased by 7.5 percent (the same period in 2018 increased by 7.42 percent). It was compared to the economic growth of the same period in 2018, the economic growth rate in the first 6 months of 2019 was lower but still reached the plan.

Department of Finance reports 3 draft contents: Regulating the regulations of receiving foreign guests to work in Vietnam; the regulations of organizing international conferences and seminars in Vietnam and other regulations of receiving guests; prescribe the regulations of going to school for State officials, civil servants and employees and remuneration for lecturers and reporters in the province; operational funding of the Advisory Council under Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front of Long An Province.

Department of Agriculture and Rural Development reports 2 contents: Policy to support the linkage of production and consumption of agricultural products in the province; the regulations on the level of support for small irrigation development, on-farm irrigation and advanced water-saving irrigation in the province.

In addition, other departments also reported other contents: Number of people working in public service units in 2019; payrolls for civil servants in 2019; fees for school year of 2019-2020 in the province; Project to adjust the planning of North Ben Luc; investment policy of equipment procurement of Long An Radio and Television, and so on

At the meeting, delegates contributed many opinions so that the contents submitted to the People's Council were complete and unified.
