According to the Department of Information Technology - Ministry of Information and Communications, as of August 10, 14.6 million subscribers were installed Bluezone application nationwide; The top 5 provinces installing Bluezone application on smartphones/people of the highest provinces and cities in the country are Da Nang (380,000 subscribers/1,134,310 people), Hanoi (1,885,689 subscribers/8,053. 663 people), Quang Ninh (284,769 subscribers/1,320,324 people), Ho Chi Minh city (1,885,689 subscribers/8.99,083 people), Bac Ninh (224,702 subscribers/1,368,840 people).
Long An province alone has 160,065 subscribers/1,688,457 people that have installed Bluezone application, ranked 23 out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
The Bluezone application will record close contact, using Bluetooth (Bluetooth Low Energy) technology to determine close contact between smartphones. When it detects a Covid-19 infection, it will quickly determined during the previous time (14 days) who you were in contact with (using Bluezone application).
Bluezone can be installed on iPhone, iPad and Android devices (at: https://bluezone.gov.vn/), helping medical facilities quickly zone and quarantine suspected cases, people in close contact with the cases; helping cases F1, F2 know the earliest information to protect themselves and the community; help people be more confident because the disease is better controlled. If it was deployed on a large scale, over 60 percent of adults use it, it will loosen social distance, soon bring life back to normal.
Following the directions of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Health, the Provincial People's Committee directed at the Official Letter No. 4559/UBND-VHXH dated August 3, 2020 on implementing the propaganda on installing Bluezone application. Accordingly, the provincial departments, sectors and branches, the People's Committees of districts, town and city have mobilized propaganda, publicized instructions for installing and using this application at their agencies, requiring all officials, civil servants and public employees, workers to install Bluezone application for themselves and their relatives; send people to record the activities in and out of the office, ask people to come to work to know, install the application; etc.
In addition, the Department of Information and Communications chaired a meeting with the provincial departments, branches, political social organizations to deploy propaganda and install Bluezone application, drastically direct cadres, civil servants and employees, union members, association members of their departments and unions that have installed to complete the minimum target of 60 percent of people using smartphones installed (as of August 10, the whole province has 9.48 percent of people have smart phones installed), striving that Long An province is among the top 10 provinces and cities in the number of people with installed smartphones./.
