Over US$107 million invested in solar power plants in Phu Yen
The People’s Committee of the south central province of Phu Yen gave a nod to Phu Khanh Solar Power Joint Stock Company to build two solar power plants in Song Cau town.
Xuan Tho Solar Power Plant 1 is located on 60 hectares in Xuan Tho 1 commune at a total capital of VND1,247 billion (US$54 million).
Meabwhile Xuan Tho Solar Power Plant 2 covers an area of 60 hectares in Xuan Tho 1 and 2 communes with a total capital of VND1,237 billion.
The plants are expected to generate 76.2 million kWh per annum once they come into operation.
According to plan, the solar power plants will contribute to the power system security and the development of the industrial and service sectors in the province as well as create jobs for local people./.
