Tan An: 100 students participate in Gold Bell Ringing Competition in English

Tri Duc Secondary & High School (Ho Chi Minh City) cooperated with Nhut Tao Secondary School (Tan An city, Long An Province) to organize the Gold Bell Ringing Competition in English with the theme "Social Network" on March 16.

The contest attracted 100 contestants who are secondary school students from 4 schools in Tan An city such as Nhut Tao Secondary School, Thong Nhat Secondary School, Tran Phu Secondary School and Ly Tu Trong Secondary School participated in the contest.

With the theme "Social Network", the Organizing Committee wants to convey the message of social network use in general and facebook in particular in a proper and effective way for students.

Participating in the Gold Bell Ringing Contest in English, the contestants take 2 rounds. In round 1, contestants answer multiple choice questions in English, from which the 3 best candidates are selected. In round 2, the 3 best contestants of the first round participated in the presentation in English with the theme "Social Network" to talk about their knowledge, stance, and views about social networks in 3 minutes per candidate. At the same time, the Jury also asked English questions on this topic to interact with contestants.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the first, second and third prizes to the three best candidates. Particularly, the first prize winner will receive VND 1.5 million in cash, gifts and 1 summer course of 2019 with the theme "Exploring Summer 2019" at Tri Duc Secondary & High School worth VND 12 million.

Participating in the contest, the contestants are able to improve their English knowledge that helps them communicate in English confidently in front of the crowd, while it helps them understand more about the benefits and harms of social networks in the current time./.
