Long An: Kylin-Lion-Dragon Dance Festival (open) - 2019

On December 31, the Center of Culture and Arts (under Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Long An province) organized the Long An Kylin - Lion - Dragon Dance Festival (open) - 2019.

Twenty Kylin - Lion - Dragon teams from Long An, 9 nationwide provinces and cities participate in the festival.

The teams performed 20 special performances, including 18 on-ground performances with topics as follows: male lion breaking tavern, male lion crossing streams to kill snakes and eat lingzhi, male lion crossing waterfalls borrow alcohol anxiety, etc. and 2 in-air performances performed by the delegation of Hang Anh Duong and Khai Uy from Ho Chi Minh city.

According to the Deputy Director of the Provincial Center for Cultural and Arts - Dang Thi Uyen Phuong, the Kylin - Lion - Dragon Dance Festival in Long An Province (open) - 2019 is an opportunity for artisans and members of teams to meet, exchange and share their performance experience, to tighten the relationship between lion dance delegations and teams. Thereby, it promotes the values and beauty of the traditional culture of the nation, creating a driving force to contribute to the development of culture and tourism.
