Long An: Nutritional enhancement supported for 5,300 frontline anti-epidemic nurses, doctors, medical staff and health workers

On August 26, in Can Duoc district, the Long An Labor Confederation held a ceremony to give gifts to support nutrition enhancement for the frontline Covid-19 anti-epidemic medical staff who are implementing social distancing according to Directive 16 during the 4th outbreak in the province.

These are "Gifts to share and encourage" with a total budget of 5.3 billion VND to take care of the spiritual life, enhance nutrition and contribute to ensuring the health of the frontline medical staff in the fight against Covid-19 epidemic in the province. The supported medical staff are nurses, doctors and health workers including persons who go to monitor, investigate and verify epidemics; people who directly examine, diagnose and treat Covid-19 patients at medical examination and treatment establishments.

Accordingly, the Provincial Labor Confederation gave gifts to support nutrition enhancement for 5,300 nurses, doctors and health workers across the province. Each gift to support nutritional enhancement is an in-kind value of 1 million VND. This is the source of funds from the accumulated trade union finance.

In Can Duoc, the provincial Labor Confederation has supported 216 doctors, nurses and health workers who are on duty at the frontline of epidemic prevention and control in the district. In other localities, the Provincial Labor Confederation will set up delegations to districts, town and city to continue to donate to the nurses, doctors, medical staff and health workers according to the plan.
