At the Happiness Road (Tan Tru district)
This is one of the programs to restore and develop tourism in 2022 of the Provincial People's Committee with the goal of effectively exploiting the advantages of local waterway tourism, connecting attractive destinations, facilitating the implementation of river eco-tours to meet the needs of tourists. Thereby, the province can research tourism products based on the advantages of culture, history, archeology, customs and habits of residents on both sides of Vam Co river; create favorable conditions for tourism business units - travel services inside and outside the province to exchange; and cooperate in tourism development and introduce Long An's brands and products to domestic and foreign tourists.
At Happyland complex
Joining the trip, visitors visited the Happyland complex - a collection of famous architectural works in the North - Central - South regions (Ben Luc district). After that, thay took a boat down the Vam Co Dong river to Tan Tru district to visit the Vam Nhut Tao relic site. This is the place where national hero Nguyen Trung Truc and insurgents burned the French colonial ship L'Espérance in 1861. The delegation also enjoyed Tan Tru specialties such as dried dragon fruit, dragon fruit wine and juice, etc. At the same time, the delegation visited the Happiness Road with a length of nearly 2 kilometers. The road is shady by 2 rows of areca kings next to the rice fields and green dragon fruit. After that, they had lunch at Homestay Tan Tru.

Leaving Tan Tru, they moved to Tan An city to visit the tomb and temple of Nguyen Huynh Duc and Long An Statue Park.
In Thu Thua district, from Vam Thu ferry to Thu Thua canal (Tra Cu canal), the tourists visited the place bordering the water of two rivers Vam Co Dong and Vam Co Tay; Vinh Phong family; My Phuoc Island, Linh Son Co Tu Pagoda. After that, they returned to the ferry, watched the sunset, had dinner on the river, enjoyed Don Ca Tai Tu (Southern amateur music) and released lanterns to pray for luck on Vam Co Tay river.
The visitors visited Vam Nhut Tao relic site and offered incense to the National Hero - Nguyen Trung Truc
According to representatives of travel businesses and tourism experts, Long An had favorable conditions for destinations to deploy river tours. The geographical location near Ho Chi Minh City helped to establish short-term tours and attract abundant visitors.
Accordingly, the province should overcome the limitations of facilities and human resources in order to implement tourism with the simple life of the people and the available potentials of the locality, etc.
According to Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Long An province - Nguyen Tan Quoc, Vam Co Dong and Vam Co Tay rivers had a lot of potential for tourism development. He hoped this trip will open a new direction for river tourism between Long An and Ho Chi Minh City./.
