“Cultural family” models should be promoted: The Department of Culture
A meeting aiming at collect opinions for “Cultural family” and “Cultural residential area” models which are expected to be applied in Thanh Phu Commune, Ben Luc District, Long An Province took place on March 19, by Mr. Nguyen Cong Trung, Deputy Director General of the Department of Culture and inspectors of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Mr.Nguyen Cong Trung, Deputy Director General of the Department of Culture highly appreciates the activities in the area and receives proposals from members of the program’s managing board.
Over previous years, the programs titled “The entire people unite to build a cultural life” and “Cultural family”, “Cultural residential area” have been instructed, launched by the local government, aiming to achieve its target’s social economic development.
As plan, the registration and selection process for the title will be organised publicly, democratically, and legally. It is also to raise awareness of people province-wide.
According to annual statistics, the percentage of households attaining 3 cultural criteria in the commune accounts for 96 percent; in 2017 was 98, 59 percent. There are 7 out of 7 villages having Cultural Center for the community.
Additionally, Mr. Nguyen Cong Trung also asked local authorities to actively promote cultural activities for young workers and encourage people about a civilized and cultural lifestyle./.
