On July 28, a special working group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) led by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development - Tran Thanh Nam had a meeting with the Ben Luc Agricultural Service Cooperative of Long An province on the situation of lemon production and consumption in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic. The Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Long An province – Nguyen Thanh Truyen joined the working group.

Here, Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam discussed and learned about producting, purchasing and consuming lemons of the cooperative in the past time as well as the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control at the production facility.
The Deputy Minister directs the Long An Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Ben Luc district to review the seasonal production plan to ensure that the agricultural product consumption plan is attached; develop sollutions and plans for consuming agricultural products in a timely manner to respond to the Covid-19 epidemic.
At the same time, the district coordinates with localities in directing the implementation of solutions to promote the supply and consumption of agricultural products to serve the essential needs of localities during the Covid-19 epidemic.
In the context of complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, Ben Luc Agricultural Service Cooperative still strives to maintain production and ensure safety for epidemic prevention and control
He said that the locality needs to firmly grasp the situation in the current context of fast spreading epidemic, go to localities and areas of large raw materials to grasp, process and connect information on supply and demand of goods.
The deputy minister also noted that the locality ensured production, but was not subjective in preventing and controlling the Covid-19 epidemic.
On this occasion, the special working group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development gave medical masks as a gift to the Ben Luc Agricultural Service Cooperative./.
