Deputy Minister of Health - Do Xuan Tuyen said that localities must further accelerate vaccination against Covid-19 epidemic in the current epidemic situation under the direction of the PM. However, the progress of some localities is presently still slow. Accordingly, the whole country has 8 provinces with low vaccination progress; By region, the Central Highlands achieved the highest; the lowest is in the southern provinces.
The reason for the delay was because the organization in some localities was still confused; Due to the complicated epidemic situation, some localities are applying isolation distancing according to Directive 16/CT-TTg. The vaccine delivery process is still slow; Some vaccines require to inject the same type of vaccine for 1st and 2nd doses, so localities must have a calculation to inject appropriately.
In addition, there are units and localities that have not strictly implemented the prevention of Covid-19 epidemic in organizing vaccination, etc.

Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen asked localities with slow progress of vaccination to speed up the progress, ensuring faster, more and more effectively, without delay. He asked the leaders of the local Departments of Health to urgently advise the Provincial People's Committee to immediately issue the vaccination plan before August 5.
In addition, it is required that localities need to mobilize the maximum vaccination force in the area; have a detailed plan, get ready for the vaccination session: number of injection places, location, specifying the number of injected people, force on duty at each point, etc. The Department of Preventive Medicine prepares an official letter to have a detailed report on the time of receiving the vaccine, the time of vaccination implementation, the vaccination results, and so on the localities, from which the Ministry of Health reviews the progress distribute vaccines to each locality and have strict management.
