According to Resolution No. 25, dated February 5, 2025 of the Government on the growth target of sectors, fields and localities, ensuring the national growth target in 2025 of 8% or more, in which the economic growth target assigned to the province in 2025 is 8.7%. However, 2025 is of special significance, the year of finishing the successful implementation of the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2021-2025, the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, the 13th National Party Congress and preparing and consolidating the fundamental factors, creating a premise for the province and the whole country to confidently enter a new era - The era of national prosperity.
Vice Chairman in charge of the Provincial People's Council - Mai Van Nhieu affirmed that in order to achieve the double-digit growth target according to the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council, first of all, the Provincial People's Committee needs to urgently implement the Resolution, especially breakthrough management solutions to accelerate development in 2025 according to the scenario of double-digit growth approved by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. At the same time, the Provincial People's Council also requested the Provincial People's Committee, all levels, sectors and called on voters and people in the province to continue to make efforts, determined to accelerate, and concentrate to reach the finish line successfully, achieving growth of 10% or more.
According to Director of the Department of Planning and Investment - Truong Van Liep, the target of economic growth in 2025 reaching double digits is completely reasonable when in 2024, the socio-economic situation of the province has a clear recovery, each month is more positive than the previous month, each quarter is better than the previous quarter, achieving the general target with many important results in all fields. In particular, the province completed and exceeded 21/21 main targets. The economic growth rate (GRDP) increased by 8.30% over the same period, ranking 21st in the country and 3rd in the Mekong Delta. This is an opportunity to create momentum for the province's growth in 2025.
Along with that, the province's business investment environment has achieved many positive results, promoting investment motivation for both FDI and domestic investment, a series of projects within and outside the budget have continued to be built, completed, and put into operation such as Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, Aeon Trade Center, Coca-Cola Factory, Pepsi, Thai Tuan Textile, etc. This is also the basis for the province to strive for a double-digit economic GRDP growth rate in 2025, reaching 10-11%. Currently, the Provincial People's Committee directs sectors and localities to focus on implementing key solutions and tasks.
In implementation, continue to follow new thinking, new ways of doing things, breakthroughs in institutions, solutions, decentralization; innovate in leadership, management, and organization methods to streamline the apparatus, effectiveness and efficiency; link economic restructuring with more synchronous, comprehensive and substantial growth model innovation in all economic sectors, mobilizing and effectively using resources, promoting growth in dynamic regions and economic corridors of the province.
