After the inspection, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee and relevant departments and branches had a working session with Ben Luc district, investors, and construction units on site clearance and progress of local key projects.

Reporting at the meeting, Chairman of Ben Luc District People's Committee - Le Thanh Ut said that since the beginning of 2024, the district has paid compensation and support to 394 households with a total area of ​​nearly 196 hectares belonging to 17 projects, reaching 72.5% of the plan; including 8 public and 9 off-budget investment projects.

In particular, Ben Luc has handed over 100% of the site of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project o the construction unit. For provincial road 830E project, currently 110 households have not agreed to receive compensation with a total area of more than 5.1 hectares; Tandoland Industrial Park project has paid compensation and support to 273/321 households with a total area of over 192/217 hectares, reaching a rate of 88.6%; Prodezi Industrial Park project has paid compensation to 461/541 households with a total area of over 302/345.3 hectares, reaching a rate of 88.6%.

Regarding embankment projects to combat climate change in the area, in which, the embankment to combat saltwater intrusion on Vam Co Dong River has basically good site clearance progress. For the riverbank landslide protection embankment project in Ben Luc town, there are currently 13/152 households and 1 organization that have not yet handed over the site to the construction unit, so construction is still slow. Most projects have problems with site clearance because households in the project area have not agreed with the compensation unit price and are demanding higher prices; some people agreed to receive compensation but have not handed over the land because resettlement has not been arranged; etc.

Mr. Le Thanh Ut said that People's Committee of Ben Luc district has directed relevant units to coordinate closely with investor units to focus on removing difficulties, mobilizing organizations and individuals to receive compensation, hand over the site for construction of projects. At the same time, the locality also proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct to speed up the progress of site clearance at the project to create a clean land fund for resettlement for provincial road 830E and urban development in Thanh Phu commune.

For the project of embankment to prevent river bank erosion and protect Ben Luc town, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that the construction unit develops a construction plan and deploy a series of construction steps at the designated locations. The construction unit needs to coordinate with the District People's Committee to have solutions.
