PM Pham Minh Chinh surveys Ring Road 3 project of HCMC, section passing Long An

On July 25, Politburo member, Prime Minister - Pham Minh Chinh and representatives of ministries, central agencies, leaders of Ho Chi Minh City had a survey on Ring Road 3 project of Ho Chi Minh City, section passing Long An province.

Member of  Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of People's Council of Long An Province - Nguyen Van Duoc; Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut; leaders of provincial departments and localities accompanied the delegation.

At the surveying site, the representative of investor and construction unit reported to the Prime Minister and the delegation about the overview and progress of the project as well as obstacles and difficulties in the implementation process.

Prime Minister - Pham Minh Chinh talked to and encouraged workers, construction units, and investors in project implementation. He requested the central ministries and branches to work closely with localities to inspect, review, promptly remove obstacles and difficulties so that the project can be implemented according to the set schedule.

Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City is a key national traffic project, passing through 4 localities including Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An. Phase 1 of the project is invested with a length of more than 76km and a total capital of nearly 75,400 billion VND. In which, the section passing Long An is more than 6.84km long, with a total investment of over 4,200 billion VND with 2 component projects (including construction of Ring Road 3 and compensation, support and resettlement). The project has the starting point at the boundary of Ho Chi Minh City and Long An, the end point at the intersection between the Ben Luc - Long Thanh highway and the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway (passing Ben Luc district).

The project is expected to officially open to traffic in 2025, playing a strategic role in forming a transport network linking the Southeast with the Mekong Delta region, promoting the effectiveness of invested projects, creating new development space, exploiting the potential of land, building a modern and sustainable urban area, contributing to the country's socio-economic development.

On June 30, People's Committee of Long An Province held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Ring Road 3 project of Ho Chi Minh City, the section passing Long An./.
