With the joint efforts of the youth, the rural appearance of Duc Hoa district, Long An province is increasingly improving. The District Youth Union directs the grassroots Youth Union to coordinate with local departments, branches, organizations and people living in the area to participate in general environmental sanitation, regularly clean up, plant trees on rural roads, collect waste, etc to create a clean and beautiful landscape.

Tan Tru District Youth Union has implemented many creative models, suitable to local characteristics, bringing practical results such as organizing tree planting in response to the program of Million Trees - For a Green Vietnam; organizing quarterly activities to exchange plastic waste for trees; distributing biodegradable bags instead of nylon bags; organizing a painting contest on paper bags with the message of environmental protection; etc. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc (Binh Trinh Dong commune, Tan Tru district) shared: "The Youth Union has implemented many good and suitable models, creating a spreading effect, calling for the participation of people for the living environment".

Tan Tru District Youth Union Deputy Secretary - Tran Nguyen Truc Phuong informed: Many environmental protection models of Tan Tru district's youth have been replicated in communes in the district, contributing to raising people's sense of responsibility in maintaining environmental hygiene.
