Can Giuoc needs to speed up site clearance for Nam Tan Tap Industrial Park project

Reporting to the working group, Secretary of Can Giuoc District Party Committee - Truong Thanh Liem said that the Nam Tan Tap Industrial Park project is invested by Saigontel Long An Co. Ltd, has been approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1240 dated August 20, 2021 and the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 9267 dated September 22, 2021 with a total investment capital of more than 2,590 billion VND and an operating period of 50 years from the date of decision on investment policy.

The project has a scale of 244.71 hectares, the area that has been cleared and received secondary investors before establishing the industrial park is 86.18 hectares, the remaining area that must be cleared is 158.56 hectares with 1,498 households, 831 houses, structures and 384 graves. The total amount of compensation and support is more than 2,130 billion VND and 543 resettlement plots must be arranged for households.

To date, the project has compensated 829 households/341 houses/102.37 hectares, an amount of more than 1,193 billion VND, reaching 64.57% of the area. There are currently 669 households/256 houses that have not received compensation or support. Of these, 252 households/284 billion VND registered to receive money but have not yet made payment.

To ensure project progress, Can Giuoc district is focusing on mobilization and site handover with the goal of completing site clearance of a number of adjacent areas by May 30, 2024, completing the plot and handing over 50 hectares of clean land to investors for leveling and receiving secondary investors.

At the same time, the District Party Committee and People's Committee requested that the Compensation, Site Clearance and Resettlement Advocacy Committee, the District Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council, the Party Committee and Tan Tap commune authorities continue to focus on speeding up compensation progress for cases that have received full compensation and support.

At the inspection, based on the difficulties and problems, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc proposed that Can Giuoc district continues to promote the role of the entire political system, focusing on solutions to mobilize and persuade to create consensus in site clearance for people in the area so that the project can soon come into operation.

Particularly for the current difficulties and obstacles related to the project, Can Giuoc district needs to proactively coordinate with departments and branches to have timely solutions, avoid letting the project prolong.

On the same afternoon, the Secretary of Provincial Party Committee also worked with Can Giuoc district on solutions to promote investment attraction in projects in the district./.
