Long An attracts 134 new investment projects

Long An Department of Planning and Investment informed that 134 newly investment projects has been approved in the province since the beginning of 2019. In which, there are 95 domestic direct investment (DDI) projects and 39 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects.

Up to the present, the whole province has 1,773 DDI projects with registered capital of VND 212.809 billion.

In April, the province attracted 22 DDI projects, with total registered capital of VND 1,480 billion; It was accumulated from the beginning of 2019 to now, 95 new projects were registered with investment capital of VND 8,819 billion, increasing 41 projects and VND 7,235 billion in capital over the same period in 2018. Up to now, the province has 1,773 projects with a registered capital of VND 212.809 billion.

In the field of foreign investment, the province granted 12 new projects in April, with investment capital of USD 22.7 million; Accumulated from the beginning of 2019, there are 39 newly granted FDI projects, increasing 16 projects and USD 21 million in capital over the same period in 2018. Up to now, the province has 971 projects with registered capital of USD 6,105 million; in which, 576 projects came into operation, accounting for 59.3 percent of the total project and total investment capital of USD 3,614 million, accounting for 59.1 percent of the total registered capital.

In order to attract investment effectively, the province continues to check and adjust land use planning; examine and inspect the environment, regularly check the progress of investment projects and handle many violations. Accordingly, there are 9 FDI projects terminating with a total registered investment capital of USD 24 million in the first 4 months of 2019, their areas of 5.5 hectares and 9 domestic projects with an area of 4.78 hectares and capital of VND 282 billion./.
