The nCoV is a large family of viruses that cause illness from the common cold to severe illness. Symptoms of nCoV infection include runny nose, cough, sore throat, possible headache and fever, dyspnea. The disease can progress to severe pneumonia, progressive acute respiratory failure and death.
According to statistics of the National Health Commission of China, by the morning of January 30, 170 people died, 7,711 cases infected and more than 12,000 cases suspected in China. This figure shows that the number of infections and deaths from nCoV continues to increase rapidly.
Facing complicated movements of the disease, Long An People's Committee issued a plan for disease prevention and control in the whole province. The goal is to detect diseases early, treat them promptly, minimize the incidence and mortality. Accordingly, localities quickly implemented prevention and control options depending on the epidemic situation; and formed a nCoV rapid response team.
Implementing the guidance of the Ministry of Health, the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Health, Long An General Hospital to implement disease prevention and control to all departments and rooms. In particular, the Medical Examination Department, Emergency Department and Infection Department are mainly responsible for organizing the diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases.
The hospital plans to streamline cases of acute respiratory infections, prepare an isolation area for infected cases. At the same time, it strictly implements the management and treatment strictly according to the diagnosis and treatment guidelines for suspected cases.

After listening to hospital leaders' report, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa suggested: “The hospital urgently implements measures for disease prevention and control depending on the situation; adequately prepares human resources, medical equipment, supplies, drugs, protective equipment, and so on in service of the prevention and fight against epidemics; ensures occupational safety and health for health workers, prevents and controls of viral infections and protect the health of health workers at the unit”.
According to a report by the Long An Health Department, there are currently no localities infected with nCoV. The health sector recommends that people should not be bewildered and worried, but should proactively apply measures to protect the health of themselves, their families and the community.
People who have returned from Wuhan City (Hubei Province, China) or other Chinese provinces and cities are experiencing outbreaks or have close contact with people with coronary pneumonia caused by nCoV within 14 days with the signs of fever, cough or dyspnea, the date of the nearest medical facility for timely consultation, examination and treatment./.
