As of 6:30 p.m. on August 13, Long An province recorded 13,911 cases of Covid-19, of which 13,261 cases were given patient codes by the Ministry of Health. In addition, 3,995 cured patients have left the hospitals, 153 patients died.

During the period from August 14 to the end of August, the province will focus all efforts to carry out testing and tracing work on a provincial scale in order to achieve the goal of controlling the disease before September 1 according to the Ministry of Health. At the conference, most of the delegates proposed to continue implementing social distancing according to Directive 16/CT-TTg to continue controlling the epidemic, ensuring the results of efforts over the past time; especially to maintain the "green zone" and control the spread of diseases in the "red zone".
