One man dies of A/H1N1 in Ca Mau Province
The Department of Preventive Medicine in the Mekong delta province of Ca Mau yesterday announced a 69 year old man in Tran Van Thoi District dies of A/H1N1
Test result carried out by Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City confirmed he was positive for the virus.
Before, on June 28, the old man was hospitalized in local infirmary with high fever and cough.
Though he was treated, his illness didn’t abate; therefore , he was transferred to large hospital in Ca Mau for further treatment where he was diagnosed with serious pneumonia. He died on June 30.
The hospital sent his sample to Pasteur Institute for tests which showed he was infected with A/H1N1 virus.
The local health authority disinfected his house and neighboring areas and instructed his relatives to keep an eye on their health./.
