Progress of vaccination against Covid-19 sped up as soon as possible

 The infectious cases in the community from August 16 to August 31 only accounted for 18.77 percent

As of 6 p.m. on August 31, the province recorded 23,254 cases of Covid-19; in which, 15,229 cases were cured (65.48 percent); 277 deaths (1.19 percent) and 6,251 cases in treatment (26.88 percent), 1,497 cases temporarily waiting for treatment (6.43 percent).

From August 21 to August 31 (11 days), the province recorded 5,778 cases (including 1,100 community cases), as the province stepped up screening tests in the community (mainly arising in concentrated isolation areas, blockade areas; the number of cases in the community only accounts for about 19.03 percent. There were 4 localities for 14 days (August 16 to August 31) with no cases of infection in the community (Moc Hoa, Tan Thanh, Vinh Hung and Tan Hung).

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Duoc asked to continue to focus on implementing 3 frontal attacks (strictly implementing Directive 16/CT-TTg; community testing and screening and vaccination against Covid-19) more drastically, centrally, synchronously and quickly.

In particular, through analysis from the health sector, all Covid-19 deaths in the province have not been vaccinated, so the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized, vaccination against Covid-19 is a sustainable and long-term strategy in epidemic prevention and control. He asked the districts to focus all efforts on speeding up the vaccination schedule against Covid-19, focusing on injecting workers and employees at facilities supplying necessities.

In addition, he suggested that localities should apply the good experience of districts with good control of the epidemic situation such as Can Duoc, Can Giuoc; promote the 4-on- site spirit, dynamism and creativity; firmly grasp the instructions from the Central to the province to organize the implementation in the locality in accordance with regulations and effectiveness.

At the same time, the province continues to strengthen coordination and cooperation between sub-committees, departments, branches and localities to implement measures synchronously, smoothly and effectively to prevent and control the epidemic as well as activities to ensure social welfare and take care of people during the implementation of social distancing.

The Provincial People's Committee must urgently have a plan to restore production of businesses and people, ensuring safety and efficiency and so on./.
