Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Long An Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control - Nguyen Van Duoc requests to quickly screen and separate F0 from the community

According to the report of the Command Department for Epidemic Prevention and Control, by September 14, 2021, the whole province recorded 29,328 Covid-19 cases (including 8,131 cases in the community; 2,302 cases in the isolation area; 18,895 cases in blockade area).

The total number of cases from September 8-14 decreased compared to the previous week (229 out of 479 cases), mainly cases in isolation and blockade areas, the number of cases in the community decreased markedly. However, two localities with a higher number of community cases in the week than last week are Tan An city (87 out of 76 cases) and Kien Tuong town (48 out of 6 cases).

Kien Tuong town discovered a cluster of Covid-19 cases due to random screening at the hospital thanks to vaccination period for the whole population, not complying with the 5K regulations, so the epidemic spread; Besides, people are subjective to go out in the streets after implementing Directive No. 15/CT-TTg in the townlets.

In Tan An City, two large clusters of cases appearing in Ward 2 (Quarter 1) and Tan Khanh Ward (area of Thien Phuoc Pagoda); At the epidemic peak on September 11, the city detected 26 community cases in the two areas above. Through investigation, the source of infection was confirmed from street vendors and rice mills. Currently, the city has implemented zoning and controlling the infectious source.

As for Ben Luc district, currently only Ben Luc townlet still has the number of community cases due to screening, most of the cases are from isolation and blockade areas. In Duc Hoa district, there are still many infections, most of them are in inns. In which, the two "hot" communes of Duc Hoa district are communes of Duc Hoa Ha and Duc Hoa Dong, after the resident-distancing  period, the epidemic situation is temporarily stable, only 3 cases were found in the community from September 8-14.

The Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control holds an online meeting with some localities where the number of Covid-19 cases have increased in recent days

Through assessing the situation, the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control requested localities, especially high-risk areas, to tighten and close the outer circle; simultaneously quickly and hard take screening tests continuously once for 2-3 days; strengthen supervision in isolation and blockade areas to limit cross-infection and increase the number of cases in the province.

For industrial localities, the Steering Committee proposed to focus on promoting screening in inns; give priority to vaccinate shot 2 for workers and employees, in case they have been given enough time, ready to meet the plan to restore production and business. All localities must strengthen communication widely to communes, wards, townships, hamlets and neighborhoods about epidemic prevention and control measures.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Long An Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control - Nguyen Van Duoc especially requested departments, branches and localities to strictly implement Official Telegram 1409 dated September 15, 2021 of the Minister of Health, only apply social distancing with very high-risk areas within 14 days and must control the epidemic as quickly as possible. The district-level Steering Committee was assigned to direct the commune-level epidemic Command Center to firmly grasp the area and firmly grasp each household; build a commune's Covid-19 map in detail in the direction of subdividing the area to have a quick solution for screening and seperating F0 quickly.

The head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control requested the relevant departments, branches and localities to closely coordinate in guiding, appraising and approving the plan to restore production and business of enterprises. Absolutely do not approve reproduction for enterprises with F0, high-risk enterprises. In phase 1, enterprises can only produce with a maximum of 50 percent of employees. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee especially emphasized the viewpoint: Enterprises must actively prevent and control the epidemic for their employees./.
