Tet Calendar market enters season amid weak purchasing power

Calendar market 2018 is plentiful but purchasing power has been weak

At present, most stores in Tan An city, Long An province have offered calendars for sale with various types including wall, desk, pocket and block calendars.

The staff of a bookstore in the city says that customers usually wait near the Lunar New Year Festival to start buying calendars. Hence, consumption has been low now. Moreover some people have been using electronic calendar so the sale volume of paper types has reduced.

According to Long An newspaper’s record, calendar prices have slightly increased by five percent compared to the same period last year. The highest price reaches VND650,000 and lowest price is VND4,000./.
