ASEAN cohesive and responsive spirit urged to tackle COVID-19

At the meeting which is organized online, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh emphasized the need to strengthen close cooperation in ASEAN, especially in the field of public health to effectively respond to challenges caused by COVID-19.

Attendees who are ASEAN Foreign Ministers shared updates on responses to the disease in each country and raised voice to promote cooperation with external partners.

ASEAN member countries also agreed to prepare a report on the COVID-19 epidemic situation and countermeasures to be submitted to the ASEAN Leaders at the ASEAN Special Summit and ASEAN + 3 meetings./.
