The visit the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City aims to establish contacts with the provincial leaders considering the expansion of the Consulate General's consular area; exchange and discuss potential and promising areas of cooperation between Belarus and Long An province in the fields of trade, economy, culture, education and other fields.

Informing the Consulate General, Secretary of Long An Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc affirmed that the diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and the Republic of Belarus was built in history, and has been increasingly nurtured. Introducing to the Consulate General, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc said that Long An province has many potentials and advantages in economic development.

In recent times, Long An province has continued to develop on 3 main driving forces including industry, agriculture and services. Of which, industry accounts for more than 60%.

This is one of the great potentials for Belarusian enterprises to come to explore cooperation opportunities in Long An in various fields to promote the advantages of all parties.

In addition, Long An province also has great potential in agricultural development with 2/3 of the area for agricultural production and is a large rice granary of the Mekong Delta region. Therefore, the province hopes that Belarusian businesses can learn about aspects of cooperation in investment and export of agricultural products.
