Daily grind resumes as factories get back to business after Tet holiday

Many businesses across the country have resumed production after the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

On February 21, nearly 800 officials and workers at the Hai Phong Veston textile factory resumed the work of manufacturing new batches of products. In 2018, the plant targets approximately VND125 billion (US$5.5 million) in revenues and an average monthly wage of over VND7 million (US$308) per employee.

The same day, more than 16,000 workers of the Hung Yen Garment Joint Stock Company (Hugaco) returned from their Tet vacations. This year, the company targets a revenue of US$350 million and an average wage of VND7 million a month for each of its employees.

The Tuan Viet Shoes Co., Ltd in the southern province of Dong Nai also resumed production on Wednesday morning, setting an annual revenue target of over US$24 million, up 5% against 2017.

Earlier on February 20, the Saigon - Central Beer Trading Joint Stock Company in Dak Lak province and the Thanh Hoa Beer Joint Stock Company in Thanh Hoa province also kicked off their post-Tet production./.
