According to the planning orientation approved by the Prime Minister, Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone will be developed in the direction of a new dynamic area, an economic growth pole with regional and international competitiveness; becoming an important trade hub of the Southeast Region, between Vietnam and Cambodia and the ASEAN region, a center for border gate services, international container transit ports and logistics services, a center for finance, trade and land border services in the Southeast Region, with a synchronous and modern technical - social infrastructure system, developing high-tech industry, green industry, green, clean, smart urban areas with international integration and connection; organizing architectural space, typical urban landscape, sustainable environment and efficient land use; ensuring socio-economic development associated with national defense and security, maintaining security and order in border areas, promoting cooperation and economic, cultural and social exchanges.

The planning also determines the model and structure of economic zone development according to 5 sub-regions, specifically: border areas and border gates; priority areas for industrial and warehouse development; priority areas for urban and service development; priority areas for tourism service development; and existing agricultural and rural residential areas.

The scale of land for construction of economic zones by 2030 is about 6,000-7,000 hectares and by 2045 it will increase to 10,000-12,000 hectares.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony for the construction of Moc Bai Economic Zone to 2045, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh said that this is an important milestone for Tay Ninh to open the direction of developing Moc Bai into a modern, dynamic, smart and sustainable border economic center. This is a new development driving force not only for Tay Ninh province but also for the Southeast region and the whole country, forming a new economic growth pole with regional and international competitiveness.

In the coming time, Tay Ninh will focus on completing a synchronous infrastructure system, strongly reforming administrative procedures, and quickly turn Moc Bai Economic Zone into an attractive destination for investors.
