In 2024, the import and export turnover through the border gates reached 10.778 million USD and continues to grow positively. The main export items are goods produced by Vietnam such as groceries, wood and wood products, paper and paper products, machinery, equipment, other spare parts, electric wires, electric cables, etc. The main import items are fresh cassava, cassava slices, miscellaneous wood, unpeeled fresh cashew nuts, rubber latex, vegetables, fruits, raw materials for manufacturing processed goods, etc.
After the province's merger, the space for export, import, trading, and exchange of goods through border gates and border routes has been expanded. Currently, many key projects in the border area have been invested by the province. The province plans to invest in the Moc Bai International Border Gate Logistics Center (150 hectares), the Xa Mat International Border Gate Logistics Center (100 hectares), the Binh Hiep International Border Gate Logistics Center and Logistics Services Center (10 hectares), and the My Quy Tay International Border Gate Logistics Center and Logistics Services Center (10 hectares).
Tay Ninh will invest synchronously in technical infrastructure, commercial infrastructure at international border gates, main border gates, secondary border gates and develop traffic infrastructure connecting with the border gate system, logistics infrastructure, trade - service infrastructure. According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the province has allocated capital with a total investment of more than 475 billion VND for 4 key projects, including: 6A road in Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone (17 billion VND); other projects in Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone (234 billion VND); construction of Tan Nam International Border Gate (74 billion VND); upgrading the connecting road from Tan Nam Border Guard Station to the intersection of Provincial Road 788 and Provincial Road 783 (150 billion VND).
These are strategic infrastructure projects, not only contributing to the completion of the border traffic network, supporting import and export activities, but also contributing to strengthening national defense - security, foreign affairs, serving socio-economic development, improving the lives of people in border communes.

Provincial leaders survey the border gates and routes
Through the recent survey of the current situation at border gates on the province's border routes, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant functional agencies to advise on the development of an investment project to upgrade international and national border gates in the province, with priority given to investment in Moc Bai international border gate; synchronously invest in infrastructure for transportation, warehouses, logistics centers, gathering places, inspection and supervision of import and export goods by functional forces, etc.
Military and people join hands to protect the border
Socio-economic development coupled with strengthening national defense and security is the consistent leadership policy of the Party, concretized by the Party Committee and the Tay Ninh provincial government in the leadership and direction work, ensuring harmony between economic development, especially border trade economy, and measures to protect territorial sovereignty, national border security, and stabilize the lives of people in border areas.
In recent years, the situation in the province's border areas has been basically stable. National sovereignty, border security, social order and safety have been maintained. Foreign relations between the province and border localities of the Kingdom of Cambodia have been consolidated and increasingly developed.
As the core force specializing in managing and protecting the national border and border areas, the Tay Ninh Border Guard proactively advised the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to develop action programs, implementation plans and promulgate many resolutions, directives, and legal documents to unify the implementation of management and protection of territorial sovereignty and security, in accordance with the characteristics and situation of the border line.
The Provincial Border Guard presides over and closely coordinates with departments, branches, sectors, Party committees and authorities at all levels to strengthen propaganda, dissemination and legal education for cadres and people in border areas and implement many mass mobilization programs to strengthen the military-civilian relationship, accompany Party committees and authorities of border communes to complete the National Target Program on new rural construction and sustainable poverty reduction.

Major Le Tuan Anh - Deputy Political Commissar of Ninh Dien Border Guard Station, said: In the past, the unit has deployed and implemented many models, typically the model of Border Guard joining hands to build new rural areas, mobilizing people to participate in self-management of national border markers, etc. These activities not only help the unit build a solid people's border defense posture but also strengthen trust and create consensus among the people for the task of protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security.
After 15 years of implementing the National Target Program on building new rural areas, with the joint efforts of the Border Guard force stationed in the area, most of the province's border communes have been recognized as meeting the standards, many communes have risen to build advanced new rural areas. Rural infrastructure and the lives of people in the province's border areas have been improved.
The authorities facilitate the movement of relatives and goods at border gates in accordance with legal regulations. In particular, residential areas adjacent to border militia posts have been formed in the border area in recent years. During their lives and farming, people in the border area are the "eyes and ears" for the Border Guard and relevant authorities to promptly handle cases of illegal border crossing, prevent and combat crimes, and maintain security and order in the border area.
Mr. Nguyen Van Du (Ninh Dien commune) said, "Our family moved to live in the Youth Village in Ben Cu hamlet, Ninh Dien commune for more than 10 years. We live in the border area and are always regularly informed by officers and soldiers of the border guard station as well as departments, branches, organizations of the commune, and the police force about the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws, especially the issue of preventing and combating crimes on the border.
We also recognize signs of violations of various types of crimes, thereby promptly informing the authorities to handle when violations occur, contributing a small part to the work of building and firmly protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the new situation"./.
