Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Pham Tan Hoa affirmed that the newly consolidated Tay Ninh Province remains consistent in its policy of attracting and facilitating businesses and investors, just as it did before the merger. The province continues to maintain a stable and transparent investment environment, in which Japan has always been one of its leading economic partners.

Over the years, Tay Ninh has established effective cooperative relations with several Japanese localities, including Hyogo, Ibaraki, Wakayama, Kanagawa, Yamanashi, and the city of Okayama, forming an important foundation for expanding economic–trade linkages and people-to-people diplomacy.

Tay Ninh is currently home to 176 Japanese FDI projects with a total investment of more than USD 1.26 billion, ranking fourth among the 40 countries and territories with investment projects in the province. This serves as clear evidence of the strong confidence Japanese investors have placed in the province’s investment and business environment.

Building on this foundation, Tay Ninh aspires to usher in a new wave of comprehensive cooperation with Japanese partners, prioritizing breakthrough sectors such as high technology, electronics, and semiconductor manufacturing, logistics, digital transformation, high-tech agriculture, and clean energy.

Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu emphasized that Vietnam–Japan relations are currently at their best stage of development, grounded in deep mutual trust, with more than 100 pairs of localities having established cooperative partnerships — a rare level of connectivity in international relations.

The Ambassador emphasized that Tay Ninh possesses numerous strategic advantages, from its gateway location to a rapidly developing infrastructure system, along with a dynamic and consistent provincial leadership that continuously supports and accompanies businesses.

Highlighting Tay Ninh’s exceptional potential and advantages, Director of the Department of Finance Truong Van Liep emphasized that the province occupies a rare strategic position: serving both as the western gateway of Ho Chi Minh City and as a direct connection to the Mekong Delta, as well as an important trade corridor with Cambodia.

Building on this foundation, Tay Ninh is accelerating the development of its industrial infrastructure, aiming to establish a network of 59 industrial parks and 82 industrial clusters covering more than 21,000 hectares by 2030. He noted that the province has prepared over 1,000 hectares of ready-to-develop land to immediately welcome new projects, affirming its determination to create a truly competitive and efficient investment environment, promote comprehensive cooperation with Japanese businesses, and generate mutually beneficial outcomes for both sides.

With extensive experience in global management and supply chains, both parties affirmed their long-term commitment and confidence in the province’s safe, attractive, and internationally compliant investment environment.

Mr. Kenichi Hirano, Vice Chairman of JETRO Tokyo, delivers a highly directional and insightful presentation at the conference

At the key presentation session of the program, Mr. Kenichi Hirano, Vice Chairman of JETRO Tokyo, delivered a highly directional and insightful speech. He noted that over 56% of Japanese companies operating in Vietnam plan to expand their business within the next one to two years—the highest rate in the entire ASEAN region.

In the past year alone, JETRO received over 4,000 consultations related to Vietnam, among the highest globally, demonstrating the strong appeal of the Vietnamese market to Japanese investors. He also assessed Tay Ninh as one of the most promising localities to attract the upcoming wave of Japanese business relocation and investment expansion.

These evaluations are further confirmed by the actual investment experiences of Japanese enterprises operating in the province. Sapporo, Japan’s leading brewery, which has invested in Tay Ninh since 2011, praised the province for providing exceptionally fast and effective support compared to other localities. Even during the period when many factories had to suspend operations amid COVID-19, Sapporo was able to maintain production thanks to timely and close assistance from the provincial authorities.

Similarly, Toyota Corolla Fukushima highly valued the province’s investment environment and plans to expand its capital investment in the Toyota Long An plant (located in Tay Ninh), viewing this as a strategic move to consolidate and expand its business foundation in Vietnam

The Tay Ninh Investment Promotion Conference in Tokyo was vibrant, effective, and trustworthy, clearly demonstrating the province’s proactive spirit and commitment to cooperation with the Japanese business community. In an open and professional working atmosphere, Tay Ninh presented itself as a dynamic and investor-friendly locality, ready to support and create optimal conditions for high-value projects.

Direct networking activities, interactive exchanges, and the attention of numerous Japanese corporations further reinforced Tay Ninh’s credibility and appeal, opening up new opportunities for cooperation that bring tangible benefits to both sides./.
