The exhibition highlights the historical values of the palace, which was a symbol of the French colonial government in Vietnam’s south region for nearly 100 years. It was renamed the Doc Lap Palace in 1954.

Visitors can discover interesting facts about the palace’s architect as well as the space and daily life of Saigon people during war time.

In addition, many images and documents introduce the lives and careers of famous people in the south during the resistance war against the French colonists, such as Truong Vinh Ky and Nguyen An Ninh.

The formation and collapse of the US-backed Government led by Ngo Dinh Diem as well as the building process of Doc Lap Palace were also introduced at the event.

The exhibits were collected from the national archives of Vietnam, the US, and France, using a variety of modern technologies to convey the historical stories. Therefore, visitors can view, listen, and interact while learning about the history.

The exhibition will run until March 23.
