Food safety violators to be fined $4,298
As per the government’s decree No. 115/2018 on food safety regulations, an individual violator could receive a fine of VND100 million while an organization will face VND200 million penalty.

A violator will receive a fine of VND80-100 million if they use materials and chemicals which are not for making food; diseased animals, or sell ill and diseased animals to make products worth around VND10 million.
Moreover, violators will pay the same fine if they use additives containing heavy metals, anti-bacteria drug, banned kinds to process products costing around VND10 million.
Additionally, they also pay a same fine if they use illegal chemicals, pesticide in making food during processing products worth VND50 million./.
