Long An: 3 rice export businessmen signs agreement with the retail distribution system to supply reserved rice
The Long An Department of Industry and Trade informed that it implemented Official Letter No. 3198/BCT-XNK dated May 6, 2020 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the implementation of Notice No. 172/TB-VPCP dated April 29, 2020 of the Government’s Office, Long An has three rice export traders that are tasked with signing an agreement with at least one supermarket system to guarantee to provide 5 percent of reserved rice when required.

Leaders of Department of Industry and Trade check rice reserves at Long An Food Company
Accordingly, Tan Dong Tien Joint Stock Company signed an agreement to supply rice with Vinh Hien Farm Co., Ltd. Vinh Hien Farm is a company specializing in supplying and distributing rice into Vinh Hien chain stores, Co.op-mart supermarket and Bach Hoa Xanh.
Long An Food Company and Duong Vu Co., Ltd. signed a rice supply agreement with San Ha Co., Ltd. San Ha Company has a chain of convenient stores known as SanHaFoodstore.
Leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade also added that the province's harvest was impacted a little in 2020 despite the effects of drought and saltwater intrusion. In particular, rice export businesses still maintain the circulation reserve as prescribed.
The Department will regularly check enterprises as well as remind to strictly implement Decree No. 107/2018/ND-CP on regularly maintaining the minimum circulation reserve equivalent to 5 percent of the amount of rice that traders have exported in the previous 6 months, pledged to immediately supply to the domestic market as required by the authorities./.
