Long An: 5 solar power plants connected to electricity grid, generating nearly 122 million kWh

Director of Department of Industry and Trade - Le Minh Duc shared that Long An currently has 18 projects registered to invest in a solar power plant with a capacity of 1,400MW. Up to now, there have been 8 projects approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, of which 5 plants have been put into operation with the national electricity grid of 240MW, the remaining 3 projects are being implemented and will be connected to the electricity grid by 2020.

For projects that have not been approved, the Department of Industry and Trade is assisting investors in carrying out necessary procedures. The projects come into operation, contributing to raising the output of clean electricity being integrated into the national electricity grid, contributing to supplementing the stable electricity supply for Long An, increasing the capacity of the national electricity grid. At the same time, these projects have been contributing significantly to the budget revenue, promoting the socio-economic development of the locality./.
