Long An: About 645,000 doses of vaccine to be injected to people in "red zone"

Facing the current complicated epidemic situation, Long An has implemented a plan to vaccinate people against Covid-19 in key localities with high outbreaks of epidemic including districts of Can Giuoc, Duc Hoa, Ben Luc, Can Duoc and Tan An City. Accordingly, it is expected to vaccinate against Covid-19 with about 645,000 doses for people aged 18 or over in these localities and ensure vaccination safety.

It is expected to begin in August 2021. In addition to the injection teams of 5 key localities, the remaining localities also support the injection teams to speed up the vaccination schedule, it ensures that the injection work is continuous and uninterrupted when sudden cases occur.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Duoc praised the frontline forces who are working day and night to prevent the epidemic. He affirmed that this was the time to decide the outcome of this "fight" and suggested that we should join hands and synchronous coordination of all levels and sectors, the consensus and determination of the people. Party Committees and members of all-level Standing Committees must promote the leaders’ role; cadres and party members must show their pioneering and exemplary character. 

He also requested that the task force should make efforts to speed up the vaccination schedule in addition to fighting the epidemic, focus on the vaccine strategy in the current situation, focus on controlling the epidemic in the "red zone" to prevent the spread of the virus to protect the "green zone". In particular, vaccinations must be prioritized to the epidemic prevention and control forces, over-65-year-old people, people from policy families, focusing on "red zone" communes of 5 key localities.

At the same time, the province focuses on bringing F0 cases to field hospitals and screening and classifying them according to appropriate treatment stratification according to the mild or severe symptoms.

Localities try to mobilize inn-owners to minimize the cost of accommodation, electricity and water for workers. Relevant departments and branches have appropriate attention and support; Fatherland front, mass organizations mobilize to take care of the workforce and workers, especially those in difficult circumstances in the current epidemic situation and so on./.
