However, the summer climate in the coming time is very easy for the development of infectious diseases, especially gastrointestinal and vector-borne diseases such as Dengue fever, Hand - foot - mouth disease, Meningococcal meningitis, Japanese B encephalitis, Rotavirus Diarrhea, and so on.

In addition, the rate of vaccination in some localities has not met the requirements, so there is a high risk of disease outbreak.

This conference aims to actively implement disease prevention and control activities at the beginning of the disease season for the central, provincial, district and commune levels; guide vaccination procedures and measures to ensure safety in disease prevention and control.

Participants were also instructed on surveillance, treatment and prevention of Dengue fever and Hand - foot and mouth disease, treatment regimens for Hand - foot and mouth disease and Dengue fever in adults and children, safety in vaccination procedures and regulations for monitoring accidents following vaccination, and emergency treatment for serious complications following vaccination, etc.

Minister of Health - Nguyen Thi Kim Tien asked the localities to continue implementing in the disease prevention and control as well as measures to ensure safety in vaccination; make efforts to increase the vaccination rate to achieve the goal of reducing the number of cases and deaths from infectious diseases and pay special attention to propaganda to raise people’s awareness in disease prevention and control./.
