Long An attracts 2,080 domestic projects and 1,108 FDI projects

Long An paid attention to the investment promotion and attraction. It promulgates plans to continue accelerating the implementation of the improving and raising the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) of Long An in 2021; investment promotion plan to the Korean market in 2021, 2022; it conducts the project exchange and implementation on adding Long An coastal economic zone to develop planning of Vietnam's economic zone; invests social housing in Duc Hoa district, etc.

The number of domestic enterprises and projects increased over the same period. Up to now, the province has attracted 2,080 domestic projects with a total registered capital of 248,936 billion VND.

Besides, Long An attracted 1,108 FDI projects with a total registered capital of 9,254.4 million USD, of which 588 projects were put into operation, accounting for 53 percent of total registered projects, with a total implemented capital of about 3,624 million USD, reaching 39 percent of the total registered capital.

Particularly in May 2021, the province attracted 14 domestic investment projects, newly granted investment capital of 1,950.3 billion VND; granted new investment certificates for 5 FDI projects with registered capital of 12.4 million USD; 5 projects adjusted to increase capital by 31 million USD; total investment capital newly granted and increased by 43.4 million USD./.
