According to the Department of Transport, the provincial People's Committee and the provincial People's Committee Chairman assigned the Department 4 key tasks under the Action Program to implement the socio-economic development plan in 2020, including urging the implementation of Tan An City's Ring Road project, completing the section from National Highway 1 to Provincial Road 827A; completing procedures and starting construction of Tan An Ring Road (Km10+860 - Km11+600 and Bao Dinh bridge), Tan Tap - Long Hau road (from Rach Doi bridge to Ring road 4), Provincial Road 826E, the intersection between Provincial Road 823B and Provincial Road 824, the road leading to Rach Doi Bridge, improving and upgrading Provincial Road 838C, bridges on Provincial Road 831; partial bidding for the management and maintenance of roads in the province; improving the efficiency of public passenger transport service to meet the needs of the people.
Besides, the Department has been assigned 58 tasks of the sector by the Provincial People's Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. The Department has striven to implement so the progress and quality of work are guaranteed. Most of the tasks are still in progress. The department has completed 53 out of 58 tasks. These tasks are being carried out.

However, the implementation has faced difficulties such as site clearance, timeliness in allocating capital, and so on.
The Department proposed to the Provincial People's Committee to direct the relevant local authorities to coordinate the site clearance for early handover; to direct the concerned departments and branches to consider and support the bidding method; etc.
Deputy Director of Planning and Investment Department - Vo Ngoc Dinh said that the Department of Transport should clearly report on site clearance for each specific project and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee for appropriate direction; ensure the disbursement progress according to the plan assigned by the Provincial People's Committee (by September 2020, the disbursement has to reach at least 65 percent). For each task, the Department should focus on directing, reviewing and coordinating implementation to complete as planned, contributing to local socio-economic development./.
