Long An: Industrial production index increased by 1.13 percent in October 2019

October 2019, the index of industrial production in the province is estimated to increase 1.13 percent compared to September, up 14.64 percent over the same period. In the first 10 months of 2019, the index of industrial production increased by 15.11 percent over the same period in 2018. Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 15.01 percent; electricity production and distribution increased by 18.75 percent; water supply, management and waste treatment increased by 13.61 percent over the same period in 2018.

The number of industrial product groups in October 2019 was 75 groups, of which 55out of 75 groups had an increase over the same period and 20 out of 75 groups decreased compared to the same period in 2018.

Some key industrial products such as construction bricks (up 63.5 percent); plastic products (up 38 percent); iron and steel finished products (up 29.3 percent); wooden products (up 29.1 percent); yarn of all kinds (up 25.1 percent); wall paint (up 23.5 percent); commercial electricity (up 18.8 percent); pharmaceutical products (up 13.3 percent); mineral water (up 13.2 percent); finished fabrics (up 13 percent); mineral and chemical fertilizers (up by 18.6 percent); rice milling (up 3.7 percent); backpacks and bags (up 7.4 percent); cashew kernels (up 5.7 percent).

The sectors reduce their concentration such as production of bottled beer (down 20.6 percent); production of iron and rolled steel (down 9.6 percent); making adult clothes (down 9.4 percent); garments (down 7.4 percent); production of animal feed (down 5.8 percent); footwear (down 0.6 percent); animal feed (down 0.3 percent)./.
