According to the plan, the province organizes vaccination for 24,065 people in priority group 1 according to the Government's Resolution 21/NQ-CP on purchasing and using Covid-19 vaccines. The province organizes injections at 31 places, of which 7 are at private establishments.

Through screening test, the whole province injected 21,774 out of 24,065 people, reaching 90.5 percent (according to the vaccine coefficient, reaching 99.7 percent with 1,851 out of 1,855 vials). According to the Director of the Provincial Center for Disease Control – Huynh Huu Dung, the last round of vaccination was achieved according to the schedule of the Ministry of Health as well as the plan of the Provincial People's Committee; up to the ending time, the injections are safe. In addition, among the vaccinated people, there were also some vaccinated cases having extra effects, which are reactions that almost all vaccines have such as pain and swelling at the injection part, low fever, etc.

After the second phase, the province continues to prepare the third phase of Covid-19 vaccination plan, expanding the people and scope of vaccination. The implementation of the third phase of Covid-19 vaccination continues to be carried out with the motto of ensuring safety and vaccination coverage.

It is known that the Ministry of Health provided 250 doses of Covid-19 vaccine to medical staff at Dong Thap Muoi Regional General Hospital in the first phase, of which 244 people were injected. The Ministry of Defense granted 7A Hospital to give injections to the armed forces of the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Border Guard Command, injecting 818 people.

Facing the current complicated development of the epidemic, Covid-19 vaccination is absolutely necessary to increase the immunity rate in the community, contributing to early repelling the epidemic./.
