NA Chairwoman presents New Year gifts to Can Tho residents

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries, ex-revolutionaries, and disadvantaged children in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on January 23, ahead of the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.

She assured them that the Party and State has never forgotten the sacrifices by war invalids, martyrs’ families, and ex-revolutionaries in the past, and wished them good health and a warm New Year.

The top legislator also presented 150 gifts to poor households and Agent Orange victims, each worth VND1.1 million (US$47), and 100 scholarships to underprivileged students, each worth VND1 million, along with study equipment.

Speaking to recipients, she lauded the municipal Party Committee, authorities, and people for their economic achievements and social welfare.

She took the occasion to wish a happy Tet to the local Party Committee, authorities, armed forces, and people./.
