The consulting unit reports on the planning of the province

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut chaired the conference. Representatives of departments, branches of the province, localities, consulting unit attended the conference.

At the meeting, the consulting unit reported on the process and content of land use planning, industrial development orientation, the development of industrial parks and clusters bordering HCMC; development restriction of the buffer zone, the Dong Thap Muoi region and along the Vam Co river.

Regarding the orientation of the urban system and population, by 2030, the province will have 24 urban centers. In addition, the consulting unit also provided information on spatial orientation, functional zoning and dynamic axes of Long An province, etc.

Representatives of departments, branches and localities also contributed opinions on the data; the planning and development of industrial zones and clusters in the province. These comments would be summarized and updated in the outline before completing the planning to submit to central ministries and branches.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Duoc asked the departments, branches and localities to carefully review each field, data, and development orientation in the spirit of closely following the viewpoints of the province and the State's regulations to help the consulting unit soon complete the planning dossier and submit it to the Central Government.

The Department of Planning and Investment had to summarize the data and adjustment contents of the local departments and branches under the direction of the Standing Provincial Party Committee for the consulting unit to revise the planning.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the consulting unit to implement the outline structure in accordance with the current regulations of Vietnam; content, ideas according to international standards and supplemented with specific characteristics of Long An. The units had to urgently implement to quickly complete the planning and submit it to the Government in April 2022 for early approval./.
