Smart tourism portal VTV Travel to be launched this December

The launch of the portal was made under a a cooperation agreement signed between the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Vietnam Television, Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group, and Nam Viet Corp, on October 23.

The move also aimed to realise VTV’s roadmap on digitalisation and digital content services on the digital platform.

Accordingly, VTV Travel will be developed alongside the launch of a VTV Travel app, featuring a portal at the address of www.dulich.vtv.vn for Vietnamese language and www.travel.vtv.vn for English language, and the establishment of a customer service switchboard 1039 to support customers.

The portal will help visitors get access to a database on tourist destinations and videos on tourism promotion of localities and regions across Vietnam, while keeping users updated on necessary tourist information based on their shared current location.

Under the agreement, Viettel will help to build and complete a tourism ecosystem with numerous services, apps and functions, such as a payment system, and telecom and internet services, in order to assist foreign visitors while travelling to Vietnam and to support Vietnamese nationals travelling abroad.

At the launch ceremony, a contest on seeking slogan for the VTV channel was launched with the highest prize worth up to VND20 million./.
