Speeding up the progress of traffic works in Long An

Traffic works in the province are focused on implementation

In the term 2015-2020, Long An province plans to implement 3 key projects and 12 projects in the program to mobilize all resources to build the transport infrastructure system to serve the industrial development of the key economic region. Recently, the province has added a list of urgent works to complete transport infrastructure in the province. Besides, the province often directs, inspects and promptly removes difficulties to speed up the construction progress. At the same time, some localities in the province also focus on completing the transport infrastructure to keep up with the development speed.

Provincial road 830 (from Duc Hoa district to Long An port, Can Giuoc district) is a key project that has basically been opened for traffic at some sections. Duc Hoa - Ben Luc section of the road (invested by BOT form) has just been put into use. Some bidding packages of the 2 remaining sections have also put into use. Contractors have focused on completing the project as planned and carrying out the widening phase.

Mr. Vo Xuan Huy - Head of the bidding package No.7a (Joint venture between 559 Construction - Trading Joint Stock Company, Central Construction Group Joint Stock Company and Phuc Loc Group Joint Stock Company) said: “The contractor tries to ensure the implementation of the project as planned. The construction site has about 50 workers in 3 groups, they work urgently to keep up with the progress of the project. However, the biggest difficulty is the ground, weather, the increase in material prices. However, we face some difficulties such as the ground, weather and the rise of construction material prices. We will remove a part of the problem and report to the superiors to solve depending on their abilities. At the same time, we propose to soon complete the site clearance and hand over to the contractor to ensure the progress of the project as planned."

Speeding up the progress of the traffic works 

Contractors of the Provincial road 833B (from National Highway 1 to Vam Co Dong River, sections of Ben Luc and Can Duoc districts) has also faced similar difficulties. The representative of Thang Long Co., Ltd - Mr. Tran Van Phu said: “We try to speed up the progress of the project. We also suggest the functional sector and local authorities promptly remove difficulties and soon hand over the ground to complete the project on schedule.”

According to Director of the Department of Transportation - Nguyen Van Hoc, recently, the province has invested in many new upgrading and construction projects to complete the transport infrastructure in the province. Some projects have been completed, put into use and met the requirements. However, at present, due to ground and weather problems, the progress of some traffic works is affected. The department inspects and urges contractors to focus on completing projects on schedule. In addition, the department regularly coordinates with relevant departments, branches and localities to carry out site clearance to soon hand over to the contractors. Besides, the Department also advises the Provincial People's Committee to have solutions to direct departments, agencies and localities to solve difficulties to speed up construction progress and soon put into use traffic projects, contributing to the local development./.
