Thien Tam fund offers 1,200 gifts to poor in Long An

A delegation of the VinGroup’s Thien Tam fund visited and handed over 450 out of 1,200 gifts to disadvantaged households in Kien Tuong commune of Vinh Hung and Tan Hung districts in the Mekong delta province of Long An, yesterday.

The delegation presented 150 gifts in Binh Hiep Commune People’s Committee and Kien Tuong town to poor families living in border communes of Binh Hiep and Binh Tan.

Ms. Phan Thi Chut (1976), at Binh Tan commune said her husband died 12 years ago due to cancer. At that time, her kids aged from 8 months & 3 years and she tried to take care of them. In April 2017, her shoulder bone was broken due to traffic accident since then she could not work as before. “I was very happy to receive Tet gift from the fund”, Chut said.

Ms. Le Thi Bien (1954), from Binh Hiep commune said every day she sells around 40 to 50 lottery tickets; she felt very happy as Thien Tam fund offered gifts to her family.

The delegation visited border communes of Hung Dien A, Vinh Hung district and handed over 100 gifts to the poor, worth VND 500,000 each.

200 gifts were also presented to disadvantaged families in Tan Hung district on the same day.

Deputy Chairman of Tan Hung district People’s Committee thanks the fund, saying that gifts would help families overcome difficulties and enjoy a happy Tet./.
